2. Products and Services

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.

4. Installation Services – Liability & Conditions

Where installation services are provided:

Installation includes only the services specified in the written estimate or contract.

4.2 Site Conditions

The customer is responsible for ensuring:

  • Site readiness
  • Proper subfloor conditions
  • Structural suitability
  • Electrical readiness for lighting

We are not responsible for delays or defects caused by:

  • Moisture issues
  • Structural defects
  • Improper prior construction
  • Customer-provided materials

4.3 Third-Party Contractors

If installation is performed by third-party contractors, they operate independently. Empire Floor is not liable for workmanship outside agreed contractual scope.

4.4 Limitation of Installation Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Alberta law:

  • Liability is limited to the cost of the installation service provided.
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
  • Warranty claims must be submitted in writing within a reasonable timeframe.

5. Imported Products – Customs & International Supply Disclaimer

Empire Floor imports certain flooring and lighting products from international suppliers.

Customers acknowledge:

  • Imported products may have natural variations in tone, texture, dimension, or finish.
  • Supply timelines may be affected by customs clearance, shipping delays, tariffs, or force majeure events.
  • Duties, tariffs, or regulatory changes may impact pricing.

We are not liable for delays caused by:

  • Customs authorities
  • Border restrictions
  • International shipping carriers
  • Trade regulation changes

All imported goods comply with applicable Canadian standards to the best of our knowledge.

6. Returns & Special Orders

The following items may be non-refundable:

  • Custom-cut flooring
  • Special import orders
  • Clearance items
  • Installed products

Return approval is subject to inspection and written authorization.

7. Warranty Disclaimer

Product warranties are subject to manufacturer terms.

Empire Floor provides no additional warranties except those explicitly stated in writing.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Alberta and Canadian law:

Empire Floor shall not be liable for:
